Our units are intentionally designed for family-style learning, making them accessible, engaging, and meaningful for learners of all ages. Whether you’re teaching a kindergartener, a high schooler, or a mixed-age group, each lesson is created to bring your family together in a shared learning experience that sparks curiosity and fosters connection.
Each lesson follows a simple yet powerful structure:
An academic portion that introduces key concepts and content,
Followed by a hands-on activity that brings learning to life through real-world application.
But we don’t want learning to stop at the page.
Our lessons are meant to serve as a portal—a launching pad for deeper exploration. We encourage families to follow their children’s interests, dig deeper into topics that spark excitement, and expand the learning through:
Watching documentaries or YouTube videos
Conducting at-home experiments or nature observations
Creating lapbooks, commonplace journals, or dioramas
Hosting presentations or mini research projects
Taking related field trips or inviting in local experts
These are tried and true lesson plans, developed and refined through years of hands-on teaching in our thriving outdoor education program, where over 400 students gather each week. They’ve been crafted with care, tested in the field, and infused with our love for adventure, nature, and meaningful learning.
Now, we’re thrilled to share them with you and your family. Whether you’re learning around the kitchen table, on the trail, or in the backyard—these lessons are here to inspire, connect, and empower. We hope they bring as much joy and discovery to your family as they have to our community.
