Our favorite experiences and memories pretty much always circle back to an adventure or two in the great outdoors. What better classroom is there? Years of adventure have caused us to realize that we are not alone in this quest to experience nature AND grow our minds AND bodies.
We have learned much through our outdoor adventures. One of the most important lessons is that we were made for community. Joined forces are not forces to be reckoned with and our world needs more passionate people coming together to create a sea of life for our children.
So we began the journey.
This collective formed with the hope of nourishing the minds and bodies of families, homes, schools, and communities all around the world.
Following the lead of childlike wonder, we purposed to design a unique, custom curriculum, incorporating community. Our goal was to build a holistic, environment-based education, with the ever present invitation to fall more deeply in love with learning.
In September, 2018, we opened our first location in Bakersfield, California. As we adventured and began creating an epic educational life of "remember when" with local families (over 400 students), we started to feel a burden for families out of reach.
Every child deserves this lifestyle of education.
It takes a village to raise a child, and we are excited to watch this village create something magical. Parents, teachers, neighbors, and friends, TOGETHER we create an ocean. Pieces of you and pieces of me, gathering together to create that sea of life.
