Terms and Conditions

By enrolling in an Outsiders Adventure program or using our website https://www.outsidersadventure.com, you agree to abide by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and mutual respect of all participants, families, and staff involved in our programs.
Please read them carefully before completing registration or participating in any activity.
1. Program Enrolment
- Enrolment is open to students in TK–12th grade, subject to space availability.
- All registration forms, emergency contact information, and medical details must be completed accurately before participation.
- Enrolment is confirmed only after full payment (or deposit, if applicable) has been received.
2. Participant Expectations
All students are expected to:
- Behave respectfully toward guides, peers, and the natural environment
- Follow safety instructions and program guidelines
- Participate actively and contribute positively to the group experience
We reserve the right to withdraw a participant from the program if behaviour compromises the safety or experience of others. In such cases, refunds will not be issued.
3. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
Parents/Guardians agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date health, emergency, and contact information
- Inform staff of any physical, emotional, or behavioural considerations relevant to their child’s participation
- Ensure timely drop-off and pick-up from the designated program site
- Support program rules and communication efforts by Outsiders staff
4. Fees and Payment
- Program fees are listed on the website and must be paid in full prior to the program start date, unless otherwise arranged.
- Monthly tuition (for year-round programs) is due at the beginning of each month.
- We accept payment via credit/debit card, electronic bank transfer, or any other method listed during checkout.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
We understand that family schedules change. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
- Cancellations made 14+ days before the program start date: 100% refund
- Cancellations made 7–13 days before the start date: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 7 days prior: no refund
Refunds will not be issued for missed days due to illness, holidays, or other absences, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the program director.
In the event of program cancellation by Outsiders Adventure (e.g. due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen events), we will offer:
- A make-up session (if feasible)
- A credit toward a future program
- Or a full refund
6. Health & Safety
- All participants must have a completed emergency and medical form on file.
- Parents/Guardians must notify us of allergies, medications, or specific health concerns in advance.
- Outsiders Adventure maintains trained staff certified in CPR and First Aid.
- In case of illness, injury, or suspected contagious conditions, students should remain home for the safety of all participants.
- In the event of a serious injury or emergency, Outsiders staff will take appropriate steps, including contacting emergency services and notifying parents/guardians immediately.
7. Inclement Weather & Emergency Conditions
Our programs run rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather (e.g. wildfire smoke, lightning, flooding), we may:
- Relocate to a safe indoor/outdoor alternative
- Modify programming for safety
- Cancel the day/session with appropriate notice and refund/credit as per policy
8. Media Release
By participating in Outsiders Adventure programs, you consent to the use of photographs, videos, or audio recordings that may include your child for the purposes of marketing, education, or social media—unless a written opt-out request is provided at the time of enrolment.
9. Limitation of Liability
While we take every precaution to ensure a safe and enriching experience, participation in outdoor education involves inherent risks. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept these risks, and agree that Outsiders Adventure and its staff shall not be held liable for injuries, damages, or losses except in cases of gross negligence.
Parents/guardians are required to sign a separate Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk as part of the enrolment process.
10. Charter School Attendance Compliance
Please note: Charter students are not permitted to attend more than 12 educational hours per week in accordance with charter school policies. Families are responsible for tracking hours and maintaining compliance with their charter provider.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website—including text, images, program materials, and curriculum resources—are the intellectual property of Outsiders Adventure and may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without written permission.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted to this page and the effective date will be updated accordingly. Continued participation in programs after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
